PEOPLE MAKING A DIFFERENCE

National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) Executive Chairperson Andile Lungisa yesterday launched a tomato growing and processing project run by two emerging young black farmers; Phetheho Motanyane and Themba Mazwai owners of BNT Resources. The launch took place in Kruger’s Post farm, Cookhouse, in the Eastern Cape where the project is running. The project began after the NYDA helped facilitate interactions between the two entrepreneurs and the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform three years ago resulting in the department purchasing the farm from its initial owner at a cost of R17.5 million, subsequently leasing it to the two emerging farmers for a period of 10 years

South African billionaire Patrice Motsepe announced Monday he would give half his family's fortune to charity, matching a pledge made by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.
"This is to be used during his lifetime and beyond... to improve the lifestyles, and living conditions, of poor, disabled, unemployed, women, youth, workers and marginalised South Africans," his wife Precious Motsepe said.

The mining tycoon becomes the first African to join the Giving Pledge, which challenges the world's wealthiest to give 50 per cent or more of their fortune to charity.
Since Microsoft mogul Gates and investment guru Buffett launched the Pledge in 2010, more than 70 billionaires have joined.

Motsepe owns mining company African Rainbow Minerals and is Africa's eighth richest person with a fortune of $2.65 billion, according to Forbes magazine.

His announcement, two days after his 51st birthday, makes him part of an illustrious club that includes Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Netflix chief executive Reed Hastings, and Intel co-founder Gordon Moore.

 Propagandist and scumbag

just stumbled upon an orbirtuary that spells 'truth'. Importantly, it offers a bit of historic perspectives and tidbits on democratic alliance's genesis. I've always asked people: with whom does the DA in alliance with? The answer, invariably, is that it's ID. True, but that's just part of the truth. The name was DP until FA came along. They two merged, and DA was born. Not much is ever said about the "A" part in the DA project. Anyway, this piece presents to you one scumbag-cum-propagandist right winger who made a living as a

STORY OF MY LIFE

I have found myself in complete darkness, no way out it seems.
I have also been in love and watched it leave.
Yet an complet avatar has been created under my name.
A simple speech means more then what it should.
I am not your everyday ordinary person i clam.
i am a child of god.
Sure give me  the voice of no reason,as if am no good.
Let me pour my heart dripping with blood at your feet, look at my face and walk away,
I believe black child it will be okay.
Allow me to leave in a world of solidarity,
do not inflict or be disgraced by me, dis mental all your shame.
Sure my doings do define me.
Until you have lived my life, dont judge me.
pinch me.
is this for real?

THE UNEQUAL WORLD

Massive poverty and obscene inequality are such terrrible scourges of our time-times in which the world boasts breathtaking advances in science, technology, industry, and apartheid as social evils.

NELSON MANDELA, LONDON,2005

THE EXTENT OF GLOBAL INEQUALITY

THE INCOME OF THE WORLDS RICHEST 500 BILLIONAIRES EXCEED THAT OF ITS POOREST 416 MILLION PEOPLE.

Every miunte of every day, somewhere in the developing world, a women dies needlessly in childbirth or pregnancy, and 20 children are killed by avoidable diseases such as diarrhoe or maaria.
Government SPEND least on health care where the need is greatest.

Inequality compounds, and often stems from, discrimination based on gender, race,or caste. In Guatemala, the number of children of European descent dying before they reach their fifth birthday is 56 in every 1,000 compared with 79  of every 1,000 indigenous children.

Inequality is monster.
